JOB SUMMARY

ONEOK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to provide support and technical assistance for rotating equipment across our Kansas Frac and Storage Assets to maximize effectiveness of our existing equipment and provide recommendations for new solutions. This individual will serve as a key contact for internal customers and will be responsible for addressing inquiries, troubleshooting, and educating employees on preventative and predictive technologies. The ideal candidate has a passion for excellent customer service, advanced communication skills, proven troubleshooting experience, Processing Plant Operational experience/understanding, an understanding of rotating equipment, and a good working knowledge of current predictive technologies. An ideal candidate would also have experience within CMMS (Maximo), vibration technologies, thermography technologies, and centrifugal pumps.

This role collaborates closely with Maintenance to deliver meaningful data and recommendations to support reliable Operations. Work assignments are often unique or highly complex requiring analysis of situations/data and evaluation of options, often providing solutions that are highly impactful. You will need to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and manage multiple items to completion. You will need to be genuinely inquisitive and willing to dig in to resolve issues. This role will need strong partnership skills to build results-oriented relationships with customers.

Job Profile Summary

Direct and perform a high level of maintenance and reliability engineering activities by providing support and technical assistance for rotating/reciprocating equipment, electrical, instrumentation and specialty equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee major mechanical equipment overhauls and routine overhauls of all rotating, reciprocating, and/or instrumentation/electrical equipment

  • Serve as point-of-contact for maintenance groups in regards to mechanical and/or electrical/instrumentation issues, trouble shooting and failure notifications

  • Support non-routine repairs

  • Support failure analysis process (cause map and incident investigations)

  • Engineer and implement equipment upgrade projects

  • Participate in Management of Change (MOC) process

  • Develop and implement base predictive and preventive maintenance programs, such as: rotating/reciprocating equipment, instrumentation and electrical systems

  • Lead effort to ensure equipment documentation is up to date

  • Provide engineering support to maintenance and equipment analyst teams

  • Provide start up support including, but not limited to:

  • Document verifications

  • Verify that procedures and guidelines are followed

  • Lead failure analysis investigation

  • Report findings

  • Research and stay current in the development of new technologies

  • Promote and expand the use of the corporate asset management system, Maximo

  • Identify and solve repeat/ongoing equipment problems

  • Provide recommendations on equipment purchase for operability, maintainability, and reliability

  • Support turnarounds, planned and unplanned outages

  • Lead Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and equipment criticality analysis

  • Establish and maintain spare part strategies to include Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), Bill of Material (BOM), quantity levels, etc

  • Lead and implement predictive and preventive maintenance analysis and optimization strategies

  • Gatekeeper for any preventive maintenance (PM) changes

  • Provide a high level of technical support to operations, maintenance and project engineering

  • Benchmark, track, and improve process reliability

  • Utilize equipment modeling software

  • Support and lead equipment efficiency studies utilizing equipment modeling

  • Provide technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on matters including, but not limited to:

  • Equipment/system design

  • Pipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance

  • Policies and procedures

  • Research, analyze, prepare, and/or approve information including, but not limited to:

  • Engineering studies

  • Bid documents and Purchase contracts

  • Cost estimates

  • Bid evaluations

  • Material specifications/selections

  • Purchase requisitions

  • Cost benefit analysis

  • Identify and facilitate the implementation of best practices (internal and external), equipment specifications, standards and maintenance activities including Recognized and General Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or reliability engineering and/or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:

Work Experience

  • 3 - 5 years related work experience working within the oil and gas, refining or petrochemical industry

  • Experience and training related to:

  • Leading Failure and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives

  • Company/governmental operating and safety procedures

  • Leading and monitoring rotating, reciprocating, instrument and electrical system preventive/predictive maintenance programs

  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience (i.e. Maximo, SAP, etc.)

  • Improving asset availability through effective preventive and predictive activities

  • Experience identifying, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems or specific situations and coordinating appropriate action/response

  • Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, construction drawings, contracts, manuals, specifications, equipment drawings, load studies, and various reports and correspondence

  • Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software

Expected Salary Range

$103,000.00 - $155,000.00
