JOB SUMMARY

Maintain the pipeline and its supporting operational and monitoring equipment in compliance with regulations, company work practices, and safety standards. Ensure the reliability of equipment and accurate measurement and the quality of product transported through the system. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with connecting carriers and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor product movements relative to assigned area to ensure accurate ticketing.

• Maintain batch stack daily according to scheduling changes.

• Perform grind-outs at crude metering stations and enter results into appropriate systems

• Review, revise, and distribute ONEOK/Magellan and/or 3rd party tickets and proves to appropriate customer .

• Investigate product losses and gains by batch.

• Troubleshoot any measurement equipment issues and work with Technician to remedy.

• Proactively identify and troubleshoot any potential measurement equipment failures or concerns and work with assigned Technician to repair.

• Thorough understanding of SIP requirements and API standards accurate measurement.

• Witness 3rd party calibrations, grind outs, waterdraws, and provings as required by SIP. Work closely with 3rd party pipeline company to drive resolution on needed repairs and/or ticket corrections.

• Exhibit ownership over and accountability of unresolved product measurement issues by driving resolution.

• Ensure daily over/shorts are settled timely.

• Perform all Asset Integrity required maintenance for assigned assets and assist peers as needed. This includes but is not limited to perform pigging operations, valve site(s) and station(s) inspections, temperature, sump, and valve checks, mechanical LOTO’s, and tanks inspections.

• Maintain OQs needed to perform assigned tasks.

• Maintain personally assigned company assets and tasks including but not limited to; vehicles, forklifts, tools, offices, warehouses etc.

• Remain available for assigned call out periods, to work samples as the schedule requires, in the event of emergency, and/or if co-worker assistance is required.

• Participate on the facility emergency response team.

• Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist with and/or perform operations and maintenance activities on systems including compressor stations, gas storages, dehydration facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment which may include, but is not limited to:

  • Startup and shutdown

  • Pigging

  • Collecting liquids

  • Gauging tanks

  • Appropriate regulatory requirements

  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles

  • React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others

  • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

Education

  • H.S. Diploma

Work Experience

  • Experience, training and/or knowledge of:

  • Company and governmental operating/safety procedures and environmental regulations

  • Pigging pipelines, gauging tanks, and collecting liquids

  • Measurement knowledge

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to: establish, prioritize assignments and complete assignments in a timely manner with supervision

  • Ability to: interact, negotiate, communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions

  • Ability to: use tools and equipment including computers and related software

  • Ability to: apply basic arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

$58,000.00 - $86,000.00
