SUPERVISOR MEASUREMENT

Job Summary

Di rects measurement , regulation, and various other operations in an operating service area. May supervise construction and operating maintenance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and direct employees in construction, maintenance, installation, and operation of measurement and regulation stations within a pipeline system including but not limited to (as specified by position):

  • Meter and desiometer proving/calibrations

  • Pipeline, well, and meter testing

  • NGL sampling/Chromatograhy

  • Pressure and temperature transmitter maintenance

  • Small Volume prover maintenance

  • Safety

  • Flow Computer installation/troubleshooting/programming

  • Flow Meter installation/troubleshooting

  • Provide information and assistance to producers, pumpers, contractors, governmental employees, customers, inspectors, employees, and others relative to company activities, policies, and procedures.

  • Coordinate and/or communicate with other departments, districts, and General Office management related to projects and operations.

  • Compile, prepare, and/or verify information including but not limited to:

  • Status/activity reports

  • Meter setting designs

  • Pipeline, well, and meter test results

  • Natural gas sampling

  • Customer correspondence

  • Job orders/completion reports

  • NGL accounting activities

  • Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

  • Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Experience construction, maintenance, and operationmeasurements.

  • Experience in measurement operations.

  • Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing computers and applications.

  • Application of math and algebraic formulas.

  • Experience and training related to:

  • Electronic measuring/testing device

  • Natural gas sampling/Chromatography

  • Company/governmental operating and safety procedures

  • Emergency response procedures

  • Communication skills/customer relations

  • Flow computer software and hardware

  • Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.

  • Exprience training, directing, and/or supervising; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.

  • Experience reading and interpreting manuals, reports, governmental regulations, job orders, contracts, drawings, plats, maps, policies, procedures, and correspondence

  • Experience developing information and making presentations to individuals or groups.

  • Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions including the use of two-way radios.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Certification and Licensing

  • Applicable driver’s license. Requires travel to job sites throughout operating service area.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate tools and equipment required.

  • Mobility to travel in office surroundings and around job sites out-of-doors.

Visual Requirements

  • Sufficient to perform job duties.
